Big Cat + SPCA Information

Hi there, H.A.N.D.S. Members and visiters.
SOme interesting information for you to read as well as a few concerns we have had.

In Canterbury there is said to have been several spotting's of 'A Phantom Cat'
Just off from state highway 72 there has been several siting, many of which have been videoed, of a large black cat.
Said to appear every four months people are suspicious that it is a hoax's, but after over sixteen sitings, this is getting less likely.

Phantom cats are also known as Alien Big Cats.
The reported sightings, tracks and predation indicate large felines, such as jaguars or cougars.
This is not confirmed and is still doubted.

Since the 1990's, big cat sightings have been reported in widely separated parts of New Zealand, in both the North and South Islands.

Mark Brosnahan of mid Canterbury saw and photographed a big black cat. His digital photographs clearly show the animal has the appearance of a black panther or large black cat-like animal. As the animal was photographed standing in long grass, it is difficult to gauge its scale, however he equated it with the size of a dog, with a long tail.

The SPCA have discovered almost one of the worst cruelty cases they have ever seen.
A dog was starved, and hung from a tree, in a south-Auckland park.
The tree was left with a large section without bark where the dog had scratched to survive.
The SPCA have no leads to who has done this.
Quite sad.

This is why we are here! To help!
Also.
Due to resent concerns I would just like to clarify a few things.

1. Meetings are on Tuesday MORNING TEA and Thursday LUNCHTIME.
2. You can do nothing concerning hands without our permission, MS CANDY!

Please have fun!

Yours, Kitty Kat, HANDS Manager. Primprim, HANDS Manager
